I have been thinking about Kaden a lot and how grateful I am for him. He bring so much joy to my life. He is growing so fast I cannot even believe it! I just wanted to share some little things about him that I have enjoyed that last little bit. About 2 weeks ago we had to take Kaden to get his blood drawn. I told him before we went in that they were going to "poke" him once and if he does his best to be strong I have a treat for him. So we went in and I was expecting him to throw a fit because the previous week when we were at Primary Children's. So I held him while they got everything ready we all counted to 3 and then they "poked" him. He did not even cry!! I was so happy! There is nothing harder to me than holding your child down while they give him a shot. He was so big I could not believe that he did so good. He was happy too because the nurse game him a stuffed animal and cookies and a really cool duck bandaid. LOL :) I know I should have got a picture but I forgot. The other thing that has really made me stop and take a good look at how big he is was a few weeks ago we went to the park and had a picnic with Kyle at the park. It was really fun to spend time with Kyle and to have lunch with him. We played at the park for a while and then as we were driving away out of nowhere Kaden says "Mommy that so much fun! We go sontine?" . It totally melted my heart! I realize now that he just loves to get out like I do. He is a different child when he can get out and run around for a while. The last thing that I wanted to share was probably the sweetest thing that Kaden has ever done to show love towards me. As most of you know he is not an affectionate child. That has been really hard on me because I am the opposite. I have always found my way of giving him hugs and kisses but I have almost always had to sneak them. The other day I was sitting watching a movie and Kaden was playing like he usually does and all of the sudden he says " Mommy I need to tell you sumping". He said it as serious as can be! So I stopped and looked at him and he pulled me in close to him and whispered "I love you" in my ear. It was one of those things that just makes all of the hard things about being a parent worth it! I am so grateful for those little moments and I have a goal now to write them down and turn to them when I am having one of those hard days as a mom. I love being a mom and I am so grateful for the chance I have to be a mom.
I just wanted to tell Garek and Julia that Kaden is really missing you guys because yesterday he was acting like he was calling people on the phone and he called Kyle and Nanette and Grandmas and Grandpas and then he called you guys. He called Garek first and asked "you going to come over sontine?". Then he called you Julia and asked you the same thing. It was so cute I just had to tell you guys.
