Memorial Weekend!

This is one of my favorite pictures of Kaden with my cousins. Skyler and James played with Kaden for a while and Kaden loved it! Kaden is surrounded by girls here in Logan so I think it is nice when he has some boys to play with!The golf cart was so much fun to have! The younger kids really loved playing on it. Kaden went on a little ride a surprisingly loved it!
This was what most of our weekend looked like. Kaden had 4 K9 teeth trying to come in all weekend so he was pretty miserable the whole weekend. Thanks Sherry and Morris for letting us stay at your house and for putting up with our grouchy boy!
I thought this was a funny picture because Kaden was always sneaking candy or getting someone to get him some. This is what happened when I took my eyes off him for a few minutes! We call it the new teething rings! LOL

What a little angel! He was so good when he was sleeping! LOL No we had a lot of late nights and Kaden was a little bit off schedule.

Well this weekend was so much fun for us! Thank you so much Russ and Auntie for letting everyone stay at your house! Thank you Russ for planning so many fun things! Kyle I have to say I am proud of you for winning the Trap shoot! You sure showed them hunny!!! It was so fun to be with all of you. Oh and thank you Garrick and Julia for coming to see us and for letting us intrude on Monday! We had so much fun with you guys! We love you guys to death! Thanks for the fun memories!

This one is for Nanette!

So my absolute favorite thing that Kaden says is "Nanette"! I love that he can say this! I didn't think that he would be able to when he got to this point. Sometimes Kaden runs all around the house saying "Nanette, Nanette Nanette"! I think it is so freaking cute. That just goes to show how much he loves his aunt Nanette! Hope you like it Nanette! Oh and the things he does with his fingers is how he says I love you in sign language!

So I got this on video the other day and I thought it would be fun to share with all of you. There are so many more things he is saying! I will post more when I catch them on camera! I cannot believe how big our little boy is getting!

WE MISS YOU!!!!

So this morning when we got up to eat breakfast Kaden heard something out the back door and he started signing JP and Britain! It was so cute!!! He really didn't understand what we were saying when we told him that they were gone:( It was really sad because he kept going to the door saying JP, Britain JP Britain! He really loves them and misses them! We miss you guys a ton too! Hopefully we will be able to see you this weekend when we are down for Memorial Day! WE LOVE YOU GUYS AND MISS YOU A TON! I hope everything is going well!


Oh just to explain these pictures if you didn’t already get it... This was our goodbye party for JP and Britain Parrish. Our great friends that lived right above us this year! It has been a blessing to have them close and to get to know them as a couple. Kyle and I are better people for knowing them!

I DID IT!!!

After the haircuts! Kyle would not let me take a picture of his hair when it was long so that’s why we don’t have a before. Anyways I finally got the courage to cut Kaden and Kyle’s hair and I feel pretty good about it! I think that I did a pretty good job for my first time! So if anyone needs haircuts just let me know! LOL:) Just kidding!

Fun at the duck pond

I just found all these photos on our camera that I forgot I wanted to write about so the next entries are from the weekends after graduation! They really have been fun and exciting. The trip to the duck pond was actually FHE that we did with Kaden, JP and Britain. It was so much fun to go and have a picnic and to have FHE with them. Kaden really enjoyed the ducks even though they wouldn't eat our bread because there were so many people that were there feeding them. But Kaden still really enjoyed the freedom of being outside and running all over and seeing the ducks. I especially love the picture of Kyle and Kaden! I just think that is classic picture of how much fun they have together and how much Kaden wants to be just like dad.

Updates!

Ok so I am not the best at this whole blog thing! I know it has been over a month since I wrote last and so again I am sorry and I will try to do better! AHHH (I know I always say that). Just some more recent things that have been going on.... Kyle is working at SDL until he finds a job! We are hoping that he will soon because they cannot pay him what he is worth now! But he likes it there and does not mind that much. Kaden and I are just up the same old stuff. We are trying to get out as much as possible now that it is warm. Kaden is talking up a storm now. He is talking in full sentences! Kyle and I love listening to him talk and picking out the things we understand! He talks a lot more than I thought he would (I think he gets that from me) LOL! This weekend Kyle and Kaden had a father and son bonding time while I went to SLC to a Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University Live with my parents. The class went from 1-6 and I loved every minute of it. I learned so many great ways that Kyle and I can start saving for retirement and college funds and just how to take control of our money! He was such a great speaker because he intertwined scripture and family values into everything he was saying! I left just feeling like I have a better understanding of the things we can do to plan for our future and to "Live like no one else now so that later we can really LIVE like no one else"! I would HIGHLY recommend everyone looking into the things that he teaches! If anyone wants more information let me know and I will tell you what you can do!

Flying Kites!

It's the perfect season for Kites! We had so much fun flying kites at the Park the other day. I actually think that Kyle and I had more fun with the Kate than Kaden did. He really just loved to be free in the open grass to run wherever he wanted to. He definitely is an outdoors boy like his Father and "papa" Sorensen.

Kaden First Birthday Party!!!

Kaden attended his first birthday party! It was so fun! We had lunch and we colored a card for Belle and then she opened her presents. Than at the end of the party Kaden got bubbles and bouncy ball and balloon! He was in Heaven! He played with those three things everyday for a week. He really is starting to be friendlier with all the kids that we play with. He has had a hard time sharing but we are slowly working on that. ;) Well we will really be sad when we have to leave all of our friends here in Logan!

GRADUATION!!!

FINALLY! Kyle is done and graduated! These are the pictures that I took for him! It was a wonderful day. Almost all of the Parker Family was there and Nanette came for the Sorensen Family. The ceremony was short and sweet because it was just the graduation for all the Engineers. It was such a great day for our family! Afterwards we had a BBQ with family and friends! Jp and Britain came and Derrick and Erin and Hayden came. We had such a wonderful day. I am so grateful and proud of Kyle that he just buckled down and got everything done. He has sacrificed and worked so hard these past three years to provide and to allow me to stay home. I am so grateful for Morris and Sherry for raising such a great man and for teaching him the value of hard work. I am so grateful for Kyle and for the wonderful husband and father he is. I LOVE YOU SWEETHEART!
