I love this picture of President and Sister Hinckley! At the recent passing of President Hinckley I have been overwhelmed with bitter sweet emotions. He will be truly missed by so many. You also can't help but think of the long awaited and wonderful reunion that he had with his dear wife. This week as I have read so many great things that he accomplished in his life for the church I know that he was a truly inspired man of God that as President Henry B. Eyring said "raised the standard of what it is to be a disciple of Jesus Christ, giving all.”.(Salt Lake Tribune Jan. 27, 2008) I have no doubt that he was a prophet of God. I remember a numerous times that the spirit bore testimony to me when I was able to attend General Conference or some other meeting that he attended. The spirit that I felt when we all would stand as he walked in was indescribable. I am so grateful for his life and the example that he set to all of improving ourselves line upon line precept upon precept, standing taller and acting as a beacon for the world. President Thomas S. Monson sums it all up by saying “Like the Master, he devoted his life to doing good, and God was surely with him. His life was a gift to the world." (Salt Lake Tribune Jan. 27, 2008)
